1. Who we are

Mandi is an Ivorian organisation that designs, trains and documents artificial intelligence models. It publishes the mandia.org website, the platform available at platform.mandia.org, and the demonstration interfaces for its models.

These terms apply as soon as you browse the website, create an account, use a model or support the organisation financially.

2. What we offer

Mandi makes available:

• informational content: research publications, methodology notes, model release announcements;
• artificial intelligence models, at various stages of development, together with their documentation;
• interfaces for trying some models, when they are open;
• a way to contribute financially to the organisation's work.

Some services are at a research stage. They may be suspended, changed or closed, including without notice, when security, quality or the available resources require it.

3. Expected use

You agree to use our services fairly, and in particular not to:

• circumvent technical limitations, quotas or security measures;
• extract content from the website or the interfaces on a large scale by automated means, without written permission;
• use our models for any purpose prohibited by the acceptable use policy;
• infringe the rights of a third party, public order or Ivorian law.

Mandi may restrict or suspend access for an account that does not follow these rules.

4. Accounts and access

Access to the platform is reserved for people authorised by Mandi. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for the actions carried out from your account. Let us know without delay at contact@mandia.org if you notice any access you did not authorise.

5. What the models produce

A language model produces text from statistical patterns. It can be wrong, invent a reference or reflect biases present in its training data.

As a consequence:

• the answers provided are not legal, medical or financial advice;
• you remain responsible for checking information before using it;
• Mandi guarantees neither the accuracy, nor the continuous availability, nor the suitability of the results for any particular purpose.

6. Intellectual property

Content published by Mandi — texts, publications, illustrations, code, brand and logo — remains the property of the organisation or its partners, unless otherwise stated on the content concerned.

Models distributed by Mandi come with their own licence. That licence determines what you may do with them. Where no licence has been published, no right of use is granted.

You keep the rights to the content you submit to a model. You grant us the right to process it technically for as long as it takes to produce an answer, under the conditions described in the privacy policy.

7. Financial contributions

Contributions paid to Mandi fund the organisation's work: computing, responsible data collection, research and knowledge sharing. They give no entitlement to any commercial benefit, nor to any right over the models produced.

Refund and receipt terms are specified at the time of the contribution. (Section to be completed with the applicable tax regime and the organisation's final legal status.)

8. Liability

Mandi makes reasonable efforts to ensure the availability and security of its services, without any guarantee of uninterrupted operation.

To the extent permitted by law, Mandi cannot be held liable for indirect damage resulting from the use of its services, including loss of data, loss of profit or harm to reputation.

9. Links to third-party websites

The website may link to resources we do not publish. We control neither their content nor their data practices.

10. Changes to these terms

These terms may change as the services evolve. The date of the last update appears at the top of the page. In the event of a significant change, we announce it on the website.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by Ivorian law. In the event of a dispute, the parties will first seek an amicable solution. Failing that, the dispute falls within the jurisdiction of the competent courts of Abidjan.
